A brand new season is underway for race car driver and Racing For Kids ambassador, Peter Hanson in the FEL Motorsports Sports Car Canada Championship! Showcasing a new platform in the 2024 Subaru BRZ TCA homologated race car this year and a brand new Racing For Kids livery to be released in June! Fans were thrilled to see Peter back at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and couldn’t wait to check out the new car.
Peter’s first race weekend in the new chassis was filled with plenty of excitement and opportunities for car, driver, and crew to navigate this new territory and learn the ins and outs of the new platform. Race one was a strong push to move through the grid and hard work paid off with a close finish to secure 3rd place on the podium!
Race two proved to be a tough battle, especially once the multiple classes began causing traffic and pushing their way through the field. Exchanging positions up until the final few laps, Peter secured another podium 3rd place finish sweeping the weekend with double podiums! With a full livery redesign and setup changes to the car under way for the next race at Calabogie Motorsport Park, Peter is more determined than ever to keep the momentum in the car and on the podium on June 22 and 23rd.
