Red Bull GRC And Racing For Kids® Announce Partnership Then Visit Kids At Long Beach’s Miller Children’s Hospital

[lead]Tanner Foust, Red Bull Global Rallycross Series super star, led a contingent of four drivers to the bedsides of young patients at Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital in Long Beach on Monday.[/lead]

The event was the first Racing For Kids® Program as the “Official Charity” of the Red Bull GRC Series –a partnership between the popular racing series and the longest running children’s charity in racing announced Monday.

The popular Tanner, was accompanied by up and coming GRC racers, Alejandro Fernandez, Christian Brooks and Travis Pecoy.

The warm day brought a lot of youngsters out of their beds and to Alejandro’s AFRacing 126 GRC Lites car and transporter outside Miller Hospital.

Drivers explained the intricacies of their sport and cars to their young audience.. Several adventurous kids, some dragging along complicated IV equipment, hopped inside for a real life glimpse of Alejandro’s car from the driver’s perspective. Obviously happy parents watched their hospitalized children laughing and enjoying an afternoon in the sun.

Later the contingent of drivers went inside the hospital for bed to bed visits, racing banter, autographs and pictures with youngsters confined to their rooms.

Bidding adieu to their new fans, the drivers asked each to be sure to watch them race on NBS Sports when the Red Bull GRC Series season begins in Phoenix, May 21-22.
