What: NTT INDYCAR Series driver and an Indianapolis 500 winner, Alexander Rossi will visit patients at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospitalin St. Petersburg on Thursday, March 7, leading up to the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. Rossi will drive the #27 Honda for Andretti Autosport in Sunday’s race.
Accompanying Rossi will be Dr. Jennifer Arnold, M.D., Medical Director, Center for Medical Simulation and Innovative Education. Dr. Arnold, featured in the TLC series, The Little Couple, often uses a pit stop analogy in her simulation center to demonstrate the precision, speed and competency needed to successfully treat pediatric trauma emergencies.
Racing For Kids is sponsoring the visit and the Executive Director and CEO J. Patrick Wright will also be on hand to escort the team.
The group will visit patients in the hospital playroom followed by bedside visits. They will hand out Racing For Kids caps, sign autographs, pose for photos and talk about racing.
