Last Wednesday, August 31, the annual Racing For Kids To The Hill event took place in Grosse Pointe Farms. The weather was perfect for the afternoon street fair, which continued into the evening for our VIP fundraiser. Most importantly, the support from Children’s Foundation, our presenting sponsor, and sponsors of the event made it an unforgettable–and rewarding–experience!

During the daytime street fair, visitors were treated to sights and sounds of the free event, including live music, a variety of exotic and vintage cars, freestyle motocross show, and a scavenger hunt provided by The Hill Association and The Grosse Pointe News. The National Coney Island truck kept busy selling dogs and drinks all afternoon.
We were pleased to welcome students and staff from the College of Creative Studies in Detroit, who worked with kids as they sketched, colored, and made other arts and crafts during the event.
Our Courageous Kids were honored at the evening charity event, where community members gathered to celebrate and raise funds through live and silent auctions. Guests were treated to live music, a freestyle motorcross show, and delicious food provided by The Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe, Fresh Farms Market, The Bronze Door, Café Nini, and Luxe Bar and Grill.
